Donated Blankets Wrap Phelps Cancer Patients in Loving Care

PITTSFIELD, Mass. — The best feelings come from helping others.
The Haddad Auto Group has been active in community philanthropy for more than 90 years, with hundreds of local organizations
enjoying the benefits over that time.
Hadded Subaru of Pittsfield is especially tuned in to such efforts, as the Subaru corporation encourages charitable efforts through Subaru Love Promise, a five-pillared program aimed at making the world a better place. One of those five pillars is Subaru Loves to Care, which concentrates on helping community members dealing with serious illness.
In July, Haddad Subaru donated several boxes of blankets to Berkshire Health Systems to distribute to patients at the Phelps Cancer Center. Oncology treatments can be time- consuming, and the blankets will keep the patients warm and comfortable during those
sessions.
As a member of the Dana-Farber Cancer Collaborative, the center has provided state- of-the-art integrated medical servies for oncology patients since 2013. It’s named in honor of David E. Phelps, the former President and CEO who made the facility what it is
today through exceptional leadership and a focus on patient-centered oncology care.
Pittsfield area residents can get all of their automotive needs met at Haddad Subaru – from sales to service and everything in between. Every customer is an important member of the community, and the Haddad team is dedicated to ensuring a refreshingly
different dealership experience for all.
