Superior Court Briefs: June 9 - June 12

Cases heard before Judge John Agostini on Monday, June 9.

Scott Kearin, 28, of Lee had not guilty pleas entered on his behalf on single counts of trafficking in heroin, possession of heroin, illegal ownership of a firearm, possession of ammunition without a firearm identification card and conspiracy to violate drug laws, to wit, distribution of heroin.

He was released on $10,000 bail. The charges stem from the execution of a search warrant at his home on April 29, 2014.

William Kearin Jr., 29, of Pittsfield had not guilty pleas entered on his behalf on single counts of conspiracy to violate drug laws, to wit, distribution of heroin, possession of heroin and possession of a stun gun.

He was released on $1,000 cash or $10,000 surety bail. The charges stem from the execution of a search warrant at his home on April 29, 2014.

Kelly Dedrick, 26, of Pittsfield had a not guilty plea entered on her behalf on a single count of possession of heroin - her second offense.

She was released on $100 cash or $1,000 surety bail. The charge stems from the execution of a search warrant at her home on April 29, 2014.

John Sacco, 46, of Pittsfield had not guilty pleas entered on his behalf on seven counts of knowingly possessing visual material of a child depicted in sexual conduct and a single count of dissemination of visual material of a child in a state of nudity.

He was released on personal recognizance. The incidents allegedly occurred in Pittsfield between January 1, 2014 and January 15, 2014.
 
George Shurtleff, 52, of Adams had not guilty pleas entered on his behalf on three counts of indecent assault and battery on a child, two counts of indecent assault and battery on a person who has attained age 14 and a single count of rape and abuse of a child aggravated by an age difference.

He was released on personal recognizance. The incidents allegedly occurred in Adams between February 6, 2011 and November 17, 2013 and involved a girl who is now age 16.

Cases heard before Judge John Agostini on Thursday, June 12.

Dennis Richards, 54, of North Adams pleaded guilty to three counts of knowingly possessing visual material of a child depicted in sexual conduct.

He was released on personal recognizance pending sentencing on September 10, 2014. Richards possessed child pornography on April 10, 2013.

Charges Filed In Connection With Case of Missing Teen

Zackary Lawrence, who sent missing Friday, was found safe Wednesday in Arizona.

PITTSFIELD, Mass. — A 47-year-old Arizona man has been arrested by police investigating the case of the Pittsfield teenager who went missing on Friday.

In a news release announcing that the teen was found, police also announced that Bradley David Cooper, 47, of Chandler, Ariz., has been arrested on various charges.

This case investigation is ongoing, police said, and no further details are available at this time.

Officials have not said whether there will be Massachusetts charges in connection with the missing person case.

Zackary Lawrence, 14, was located safely in Chandler, Ariz., on Wednesday. He went missing from his Francis Avenue home in Pittsfield on Friday evening.

Zackary will be returning to Massachusetts as early as today, police said.
