NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- Shane Fuller scored three times, and Damon Couture added a pair of goals to lead the McCann Tech boys soccer team to an 8-0 win over Franklin Tech on Tuesday.

The victory assured McCann (9-4) a place in the Western Massachusetts Division 4 tournament and gave the Hornets a 5-1 record over their last six games.

Fuller set up Couture with a cross from the right wing in the seventh minute for the game's first goal, and McCann went on to score five more before half-time.

Mike Moreno and Cody Jordan added to their scoring totals with a goal apiece, and senior keeper Chris Gajda got on the field and scored on a direct kick from outside the 18 in the second minute of the second half.

Gajda split time in the net with Moreno and Devon Griswold. Each was credited with a save.

McCann will look to improve its seeding position for the post-season over the next five games, starting with Friday's contest at Pathfinder.
