Taconic Boys Hand Hoosac Valley First Loss

CHESHIRE, Mass. – Luke Murphy scored twice Saturday to lead the Taconic boys soccer team to a 3-1 win over Hoosac Valley.

 

Murphy scored the game’s first two goals, one with an assist from Eric Quaidoo.

 

Quaidoo then scored a goal of his own, with an assist from Andy Toapanta, to give the Thunder a 3-0 lead at half-time.

 

Tim Parsons stopped three shots to earn the win in goal for Taconic, allowing just a penalty kick conversion by the Hurricanes in the final minute.

 

Hoosac Valley (4-1) goes to McCann Tech on Monday.

 

Taconic (3-1) is at Ware on Monday.
