Hampshire Girls Top Monument Mountain

WESTHAMPTON, Mass. – The Hampshire girls soccer team Wednesday scored three straight goals en route to a 3-2 win over Monument Mountain in the Western Massachusetts Class B quarter-finals.
 
Iris Firth opened the scoring for the Spartans, but the hosts responded to build a 3-1 lead before Firth was able to find the net again before half-time.
 
Mercedes Raifstanger had an assist on one of Firth’s goals.
 
The Spartans (13-4) have one regular season game remaining before next week’s state tournament.
