LENOX, Mass. -- Sophia Carraro scored three goals, and the Lenox girls soccer team Monday earned a 4-1, come-from-behind win over Hoosac Valley.

The Hurricanes took the lead in the 50th minute when Genevieve Lagess scored with an assist from Talia Rehill.

Just six minutes later, Carraro scored her first goal with an assist from Jane Elliot.

"Playing with a sense of energy Lenox tried to turn up the pressure and with 10 minutes left got the go ahead goal," Lenox coach Brian Seminara said. "After that the flood gates broke through.

"Hoosac held in tough and created some good chances. Luckily for us, we had some underclassmen step up in big ways, both defensively and offensively."

Libby Ballinger set up Carraro for the game-winning goal.

Elliot scored an insurance goal with an assist from Carroro, who tacked on an unassisted goal with four minutes left to play.

Ella Hall made six saves to earn the win in goal.

Emma Meczywor made seven saves for Hoosac Valley (0-9-1), which hosts Easthampton on Wednesday.

Lenox (5-3-1) hosts Drury on Friday.
