WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – Lily McDermott scored a pair of goals Wednesday as the Mount Greylock girls soccer team beat Lenox, 7-0, to finish Grieve Division play with a league record of 10-0 this fall.

The Mounties got the game-winner midway through the first half on an own goal.

McDermott scored 10 minutes later with an assist from Mai O’Connor to give Mount Greylock a 2-0 half-time lead.

Lucy McWeeny, Tanley Drake, Gabriella Nicastro and Mila Marcisz each scored a goal in the second half.

Lexi Politis helped control the midfield on a night when Olivia Eakin needed to make no saves to earn the shutout.

Mount Greylock (11-1), whose only loss came at the No. 1-ranked team in Division 2, Longmeadow, is ranked second in D5 in the latest MIAA power rankings.

The Mounties face a little out-of-state competition on Monday when Mount Anthony Union visits John Allen Field.
