St. Joe Girls, Taconic Boys Swim to Wins

PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Ellie Field  and Jessie Tobin each won a pair of events to lead the St. Joseph girls swimming team to a 74-20 win over Taconic on Tuesday afternoon.
 
Field won the 200-yard freestyle in 2 minutes, 6.43 seconds and the 100 butterfly in 1:04.94. Tobin won the 500 free and 100 backstroke. Both also swam on St. Joe's victorious 200 medley relay.
 
The 200 MR foursome also included Julia Whitney and Elizabeth Bernardy, who each picked up wins as individuals. Whitney won the 200 individual medley. And Bernardy won the 100 breast stroke.
 
Other individual winners for the Crusaders included Emma Whitney in the 100 free. St. Joe swept all three relays in the girls meet.
 
The Taconic boys defeated St. Joe, 39-30.
 
Jeremy Haven and Kyle Rochelo each were double winners for Taconic and swam a leg on the team's winning 400 free relay quartet.
 
Jeremy Haven won the 50 free (:25.12) and 100 fly (1:16.12). Rochelo won the 200 free and 100 free.
