Lenox Rallies Past McCann Tech in Eight Innings

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. – David Kirchner singled to right to drive in two runs in the top of the eighth Tuesday and sent the Lenox baseball team on to a 5-3 win over McCann Tech at Joe Wolfe Field.
 
Sam Joyce reached on a one-out walk, and Brady DiGrigoli reached on an error ahead of Kirchner, who delivered the game-winner.
 
In the bottom of the eighth, Aaron Livsey earned a two-out walk, and Nick Gilman singled before Michael Butler got the final out on a ground ball.
 
Butler and Max Shepardson split time on the mound for the Millionaires, striking out 10.
 
Collin Booth and Livsey each pitched for the Hornets. Livsey struck out eight and allowed no earned runs in 6-? innings.
 
McCann Tech’s offense got doubles from Livsey and Lukas Rylander.
 
The Hornets (0-1) go to Mount Everett on Wednesday.
 
Lenox (1-0) hosts Hoosac Valley on Thursday.
