NORTH ADAMS, Mass. – Brady Vallieres raced home on a lineout to center field in the bottom of the fifth to snap a 1-1 tie and send the McCann Tech baseball team on to a 2-1 win over Franklin Tech in a rain-shortened game at Joe Wolfe Field.
 
Nick Gilman provided the sacrifice fly to give the Hornets an 8-3 record.
 
The Hornets started the scoring with a run in the second.
 
Josh Livsey hit a leadoff single and advanced to second on an error. He moved up on a groundball off the bat of Austin Buda and scored when Noah DeBenedetto hit an RBI single to center.
 
Lukas Rylander earned the win on the mound, scattering three hits, striking out six and allowing no earned runs.
 
McCann Tech goes to Lenox on Monday.
