Jack Bissaillon Leads Spartans Past Southwick

SOUTHWICK, Mass. – Monument Mountain’s Jack Bissaillon scattered three hits in a complete-game shutout of Southwick on Monday afternoon.
 
Bissaillon struck out nine and walked none.
 
He got all the offensive support he needed in the top of the fifth.
 
Dom Velasco reached on an error to lead off the inning. He moved into scoring position on Gus Luf’s sacrifice bunt and stole third.
 
Velasco then scored on Cole Bissaillon’s sacrifice fly to make it 1-0.
 
In the seventh, Luf hit a sac fly to drive in Velasco, and Christian Blanchard, who hit his way on base, scored when he stole second and came around on a couple of errors.
 
Monument Mountain (8-7) goes to Drury on Tuesday.
