WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Pittsfield baseball team completed a successful road trip to take on the West Side Terriers, winning the “nightcap,” 5-1, after finishing an eight-inning game suspended from earlier this season.

In Saturday’s regularly scheduled game, Morrie Fried went 2-for-3 with a triple, a double and two runs batted in on two balls that PHS coach Drew Pearce would have been home runs in any other high school ballpark.

Jack Reed went 2-for-3 with a pair of RBIs in a seven-hit attack for Pittsfield.

Roshan Warriar, who won the first game in relief, also won the second, going seven full innings, striking out four and allowing just one earned run.

Pittsfield (8-4) hosts Westfield on Tuesday.
