Bianco Scores Twice to Lead Spartans to Lacrosse Win

CHESHIRE, Mass. -- The Monument Mountain boys lacrosse team defeated Hoosac Valley, 7-5, in a downpour on Wednesday.

The Hurricanes held a 3-2 lead at half-time, but Monument came out in the second half and sealed the victory.

"We need to play smarter, our mistakes were a big factor in the outcome of this game," Hoosac coach John Alibozek said. "We need to improve our ball handling and clearing."

Khalil Karch finished with two goals for the Hurricanes, Mike Lemanski, and Mican Tossone each had one.

For the Spartans; Mike Basile, Nigel Baldwin, John Rosales, Tom Berle, and Max Buffoni each had one. John Bianco finished with two.

Hoosac hosts Wahconah Saturday afternoon at 4 p.m. Monument hosts Mount Greylock Thursday afternoon with a 4:15 p.m start.
