Labrie Leads Hoosac Boys Lax to One-Goal Win

GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. -- Chaise Labrie had two goals and one assist to lead the Hoosac Valley boys lacrosse team to a come-from-behind, 7-6 win over Monument Mountain on Thursday.
 
Monument held a 4-2 lead at half, but the Hurricanes tied it after three quarters and outbattled their hosts in the final frame.
 
Monument Mountain's Mike Basile had three goals, and Thomas Berle scored twice. John Bianco had a goal and two assists for the Spartans.
 
For Hoosac Valley, Brendan Ellsworth and Nick Waterman each scored twice. The 'Canes also got a goal from Mike Lemanski and an assist from Xavier Alvarez.
 
Cam Alibozek made eight saves to get the win. Jack Gibson and Jonah Swotes combined for 13 saves for Monument.
 
Hoosac (2-4) travels to face St. Joe on Monday.
