NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- Nick Waterman scored four goals and set up three more Wednesday to lead the Hoosac Valley boys lacrosse team to a 13-4 win over McCann Tech.

Casey Meczywor scored four, and Matt Hall had two goals and two assists for the Hurricanes, who got seven saves from Cam Alibozek.

McCann Tech’s Justin Meczywor scored twice and set up a goal, and Josh Pettit made 14 saves.

The Hornets were down, 8-4, at half-time but held Hoosac Valley to just a goal in the third quarter to stay in the game.

“Our defense worked hard the whole game as always,” McCann Tech coach Paul Lange said. “I  think their experience, their upperclassmen had a bit of an advantage today over some of our less experienced freshmen and sophomores.”

McCann Tech (4-9) hosts Pittsfield on Friday.

Hoosac Valley (6-3) takes a five-game winning streak into Friday’s home game against Taconic.
