Caesar Scores Four to Lead Wahconah Boys Lax Past Monument

GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. -- The Wahconah boys lacrosse team defeated Monument Mountain, 9-6, on Monday afternoon.
 
Wahconah held a 7-2 lead going into half-time.
 
Each team tallied one goal in third making it 8-3, and the Spartans' comeback bid came up short in the fourth. They were able to put in three, but Wahconah added another on their end.
 
For Wahconah, Quinn Caesar had four goals, Mike Wagner had one goal, Nick Clayton had one goal and one assist, Jeremy Girard had one goal, Josh Rocca one goal, and Kyle Gazillo had one goal.
 
For Monument, John Bianco had four goals, Mike Basile had one goal and one assist, Joey LaBrasca had one goal, Tom Berle had one assist, and Nigel Baldwin had one assist.
 
Wahconah goalie Vinney Orlandi had five saves, and Monument's Jonah Swotes stopped 10 shots.
 
Monument is scheduled to visit St. Joseph on Wednesday, when Wahconah travels to meet Taconic.
