Hoosac Valley Tops Lee

CHESHIRE, Mass. – Jacinta Felix scored six goals Monday to lead the Hoosac Valley girls lacrosse team to a 12-9 win over Lee.
 
Emma Meczywor had a hat trick and set up two goals in the win.
 
Cami Lovato stopped 18 shots to earn the win in goal.
 
“Jacinta Felix found space in transition which helped for open shots,” Hoosac Valley coach Molly West said. “And our defense stepped up today in lots of ways, led by Abby Percy, Peyton Choquette and Maryn Cappiello. Cami Lavato was once again stellar in the goal and made some incredible saves.”
 
Lee’s Reese Duschesne stopped 15 shots.
 
The Wildcats got five goals from Elizabeth Ballinger and a pair of goals from Naima Clark.
 
Lee (4-5) hosts Pope Francis on Tuesday.
 
Hoosac Valley (7-3) goes to Granby on Wednesday.
