South Hadley Girls Lacrosse Tops Wahconah

DALTON, Mass. – The South Hadley girls lacrosse team Thursday earned a 12-7 win at Wahconah on a night when the hosts continued to show their progress this season.
 
“This was a great game for the girls,” Wahconah coach Kathy Budaj said. “We hung with a strong team each quarter. From the first time we played them when we lost 17-4 to today, wow.
So many improvements across the board.”
 
Olivia Roberts scored four goals to lead Wahconah, which got a goal apiece from Ava Massaro, Mia Thomas and Aliyah Southard.
 
Phalyn Renderer stopped eight shots in Wahconah’s goal.
 
Wahconah (0-12) hosts Mount Anthony on Friday.
