WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Sarah Stripp scored eight goals and assisted on three more Wednesday to lead the Mount Greylock girls lacrosse team to a 25-11 win over Granby.

Emma Polumbo scored five times, and Lauren Aliberti had four goals for the Mounties. Caroline Flynn and Carolyn Jones each had a hat trick in Mount Greylock’s highest scoring game of the season.

“The first time we played, Mount Greylock only went ahead the last few minutes of the game,” Mounties coach Lindsey von Holtz said. “The teams traded the lead multiple times throughout the game. This time, Granby got off to a quick start getting up 4-1 only six minutes into the game. With 14 minutes left of the half, MG put in three quick goals to lead 6-5, with two more two minutes later.

“At that point, Mount Greylock stayed in control, ending the half ahead, 13-6.”
Autumn Delorey made eight saves in Mount Greylock’s goal.

The Mounties (10-5) go to Westfield on Saturday.
