Late Rally Trips Drury Softball in State Tourney

TYNGSBOROUGH, Mass. – The 13th-seeded Academy of Notre Dame softball team Monday rallied for five runs in the bottom of the seventh to earn a 7-6 win over Drury in the first round of the Division 5 State Tournament.
 
Brooke Bishop hit a home run, and Olivia Perry doubled for the Blue Devils (9-12), who got a pair of hits apiece from Kaley Bushika and Marley Brothers.
 
Ellie Harnick took the loss in the circle for Drury.
 
Notre Dame moves on to face Franklin Tech in the Round of 16.
