WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – Greenfield’s MacKenzie Paulin threw 1 and two thirds innings of one-hit relief Friday as the Green Wave held off Mount Greylock to take a 4-3 win.

Greenfield went on top, 4-1, with two runs in the top of the fifth inning.

But in the bottom of the inning, Malia Koffi singled to lead off the inning and scored on A.J. Pelkey’s RBI double to get the Mounties within two runs.

In the bottom of the sixth, Madi Barber reached on a two-base error and scored when Vayda Larabee reached on an error to make it 4-3.

Paulin got the last two outs of that inning and worked around a two-out hit by Addison Pause and a Greenfield error in the seventh to save the win.

Kayleigh Jaros went the distance in the circle for Mount Greylock, striking out seven and allowing just one earned run.

Koffi hit her seventh home run of the season in the first inning.

Mount Greylock (6-9) hosts Mohawk Trail on Saturday morning.
