Monument Mountain Boys Roll over South Hadley

GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. – Khalil Carlson led four Spartans in double figures with 30 points Monday as the Monument Mountain boys basketball team beat South Hadley, 83-50.
 
Carlson scored 17 of his points in the first half to help the Spartans build a 42-20 lead.
 
Manny Brown scored nine of his 14 points in the first quarter as Monument took control of the game early.
 
“We shared the ball well in the first half with 15 assists on 18 baskets,” Monument Mountain coach Randy Koldys said. “We also were solid on defense as we created multiple turnovers in that first half.”
 
Griffin McElroy and Sebastian Guete-Ramirez scored 11 points apiece in the win.
 
Monument Mountain (3-0) travels to Baystate Academy on Thursday.
