Spartans Secure Conference Crown, Stay Unbeaten

GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. – Khalil Carlson scored 20 to lead four Monument Mountain Spartans in double figures in a 93-36 win over Baystate Academy on Friday.
 
With the win, Monument Mountain claimed a Bi-County East Division Championship.
 
Carlson needed just 16 minutes on the floor to post his total, helping the Spartans build a 55-18 half-time lead.
 
Isaiah Keefner scored 15, and Sebastian Guete-Ramirez added 12. Christian “Sparky” Blanchard scored a career high 11 points.
 
Monument Mountain is 15-0 this season, which includes an 11-0 record in its league, where it has gone 21-1 the last two years.
 
The Spartans are off until next Friday, when they host Springfield International Charter, in a game that will  double as a celebration of 75 years of Hoosy Hoops, the Housatonic youth basketball league. Youth teams will play games at half-time.
