SHEFFIELD, Mass. – Emily Steuernagle scored 15 points Monday to lead the Mount Everett girls basketball team to its second straight win, a 35-28 victory over Bay State Academy.

Aliyah Creamer scored eight, and Makayla Carpenter added seven for the Eagles, who outscored Bay State, 22-14, in the second half.

“Great job day by the girls for battling the entire time and not giving up,” Mount Everett coach Joshua King said. “We got down early in the first and got it to within one point at half, but I knew we weren't playing up to our potential. We made some adjustments at half-time, made better decisions and shot selection.”

Mount Everett (4-15) finishes the year on Tuesday at Athol.
