CLAY TRINKET WALL SHELF WORKSHOP
North Adams | Adams | Cheshire | Clarksburg | Lanesborough, 10 am to12:30pm

Local ceramist Charlotte Shenassa leads this beginner-friendly workshop where participants use hand-building techniques and underglazes to sculpt and decorate custom clay trinket shelves. The class is open to ages 10 and up, with all materials provided and finished pieces ready for pickup after firing in two to three weeks. EASY TAI CHI

This practice includes simple tai chi moves and Qigong methods. Slow fluid movement, self-applied massage, deep breathing exercises, and meditation releases the relaxation response in the brain.  All levels and ages will benefit. No equipment required.

STORYTIME WITH STAY & PLAY
Becket, 10:30 a.m. to noon

Becket Athenaeum hosts a storytime from 10:30 to 11 followed by an hour of stay and play with toys, games, puzzles, and snacks for the kids, along with coffee, tea, snacks, and time for connection for the caregivers. Stop by for either or both.

MASSACHUSETTS: A SONG OF ITSELF
Stockbridge, 3 pm

State Poet Laureate Regie Gibson and a group of musicians use poetry, storytelling, and song to explore the founding of the Commonwealth through the perspectives of marginalized individuals. The performance traces the region's history from early interactions between Indigenous peoples and settlers through the American Revolution. General admission is $20 at the door (cash only), with advance tickets and Card for Culture discounts available through the West Stockbridge Historical Society.

POET LAUREATE REGIE GIBSON PRESENTS MASSACHUSETTS: A SONG OF ITSELF

State Poet Laureate Regie Gibson, backed by a group musicians, presents a reimagined history of the founding of the Commonwealth told through the eyes of its marginalized people who influenced its growth and early struggles.   General admission is $20 at the door, cash only, at the Stockbridge First Congregational Church, located at 4 Main St.

LENOX CONTRA DANCE
Lenox, 7:15 - 10:30 p.m.

Our next dance will be on Saturday, April 18th, with music by The Star Charters: Cecilia Vacanti (fiddle), Jess Newman (fiddle) and Mark Price (guitar) with Dereck Kalish calling. Roles will be larks and robins.

Come join us contra dancing to live music. We have a different band and caller each month. Dances are held on Third Saturday nights in Lenox, Massachusetts in the Lenox Community Center, at 65 Walker Street. Experience the pleasure of dancing on a beautiful wood floor, in a high-ceiling second floor accessible ballroom with a raised stage.

Admission is $12-15 for adults and $8-10 for students. New Dancers - 2nd dance free!

Dances begin with a 15 minute beginner introduction at 7:15 followed by dancing from 7:30 to 10:30. Refreshments are offered during the social break from dancing.

All the dances are taught. No partner necessary. Come alone or bring friends.

Dancing and laughter are better shared, viruses not so much.
If you are feeling ill, please stay home and take care of yourself.

Six week fitness class at Berkshire South Regional Community Center led by personal fitness trainer Todd DiMario. Participants will meet twice a week for a 1-hr fitness class on Tuesdays, with an added 30 minutes of open gym time or specialized clinic on Saturday mornings. HOFFMANN BIRD CLUB: BIRDING FOR BEGINNERS IN LENOX
Pittsfield, 9:00am - 12:00pm

This introductory session covers essential bird identification tools and strategies before moving to an accessible 0.6-mile walk on the Parsons Marsh trail. The workshop is specifically designed for beginners and offers loaner binoculars for those who do not have their own. Attendance is limited to eight participants, and an advance RSVP is required via the Hoffmann Bird Club website.
