Milton A. Poirot, 84
FLORIDA, Mass. — Milton Aaron Poirot, 84, of 455 Mohawk Trail died Thursday, Aug. 13, 2015, at Hillcrest Commons in Pittsfield.
Born in Florida on Sept. 22, 1930, son of Adrian and Tressie Burdick Poirot, he attended Florida schools and graduated from the Drury High School in North Adams with the class of 1949.
He was an Army veteran of the Korean War.
Mr. Poirot was employed by the former Sprague Electric Co. for 29 years until his retirement in 1992.
He also had been a member of the Berkshire County Deputy Sheriffs Association. He enjoyed flying ultralight airplanes. He took a great deal of pride in maintaining his property.
He leaves his wife, the former Betty Louise Ogert, whom he married on Aug. 29, 1953; three daughters, Lynn Gregory and her husband, James, of Oak Island, N.C., Leila Pisano of North Adams and Lonnie Poirot of Spencertown, N.Y.; a sister, Helen Sundquist of Germantown, Md.; a brother, Alan Poirot of the town of Florida; eight grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his grandson, James Gregory Jr., and his siblings Fay Beer, Norma Boucher and Stephen Poirot.
FUNERAL NOTICE — Services for Mr. Poirot will be private. Burial will be in Florida Church Cemetery.
There will be no calling hours. Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals is in charge of arrangements.
