Theodore P. Pierce, 86

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Theodore Paul Pierce, 86, of North Royalton, Ohio, and a former longtime resident of North Adams, Mass., died Wednesday April 5, 2017, at Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio.
He was born in Williamstown, Mass., on March 2, 1931, son of Amos H. and Ida Janet (McClain) Pierce. He attended local schools and graduated from the Williamstown High School.
Ted was a member of the Massachusetts National Guard for over 20 years.
He was the owner and operator of the Ted Pierce Oil Co. for many years until his retirement. Before that, he worked at Sprague Electric Co. Ted's favorite place on earth was his "camp" at Hedges Lake, N.Y., where he had many close friends that became like family. He enjoyed fishing in all seasons and was known as the man who could fix anything. He loved to help others in any way he could.
His wife was Nancy Marie (Davis) Pierce; she died on June 3, 2007. They were married on May 24, 1952.
Survivors include two daughters, Sherry Armitage and her husband, James, of North Royalton, Ohio, and Erin Myers and her husband, Jason, of Fairlawn, Ohio; two grandchildren, Timothy Armitage and Quinne Myers; one sister, Barbara White and her husband, Robert, of Williamstown; and nieces and nephews.
His son, Neil Pierce, died in 1996.
Funeral notice: The funeral for Ted Pierce will be Wednesday April 12, 2017m at 11 a.m. at Sherman Burbank Memorial Chapel in Williamstown. Burial will follow in Eastlawn Cemetery.
