Joseph G. Bissaillon, 80

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Joseph George Bissaillon, 80, of North Adams, Mass., died on Thursday, April 27, 2017, at Williamstown Commons.
He was born in North Adams, Mass., on October 27, 1936, a son of the late Homer N. and Ceceile G. (LaVoie) Bissaillon. He attended schools in North Adams. Joseph was a member of the National Guard, 104th Division, in North Adams. He was employed at General Cable in Williamstown for 40 years, from 1956-1996. He was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church in North Adams. He loved gardening.
Joseph is survived by his wife, Sandra (Exford) Bissaillon, whom he married in Adams on August 31, 1972. He also leaves a son, Ronald Bissaillon and his companion Lisa Lussier of North Adams; two daughters, Laurie Helms and her husand Rick of Florida, and Penny Huttle, and her husband Francis of Florida; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; a brother, Louis "Duke" Bissaillon of Idaho; and a sister, Marguite Drake of North Adams.
He was predeceased by his daughter Katherine Marie Bissaillon, who died on December 5, 1959.
Funeral notice: A funeral service to celebrate the life of Joseph Bissaillon will be held on Thursday, May 4, 2017, at All Saints Episcopal Church in North Adams, Mass., at 11 a.m. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, May 3, 2017, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapel, 521 West Main St., North Adams, MA 01247. Burial will follow the in Southview Cemetery. Donations in his memory can be made to Cystic Firbrosis Foundation through the funeral home.
