ADAMS, Mass. — Mrs. Eleanor (Priori) Bechard, 92, of Adams died on Tuesday, May 30, 2017, at North Adams Commons. 

She was born in Pittsfield on September 22, 1924, daughter of the late Louis and Lena (Vitali) Priori and attended schools in Adams. 

Mrs. Bechard worked for many years at the former Sprague Electric Co., North Adams, until retiring in 1985. 

She was a communicant of the Parish of St. John Paul II, Adams. She enjoyed playing bingo, cooking, especially for holidays and spending time with her family. 

Her husband, Carleton Bechard, whom she married in 1942, died in 2007. 

She is survived by two sons, Dennis Bechard and his wife Theresa, and Gary Bechard and his partner Charlene, all of Adams; her son-in-law, Edward Hvizda, of Wheat Ridge, Colo.; three grandchildren, Steven Bechard and his wife Lori of Westfield, Shawn Tassone and his wife Katie of Austin, Texas, and Tamara Menard and her husband Joseph of Glendale, Ariz.; and five great-grandchildren, Hannah, Hunter, Anthony and Angelo Tassone and Cheyenne Menard. 

She was predeceased by her daughter, Karen Hvizda, who died in 2001; and by two brothers, Alfred and Donald Priori. 

Funeral notice: Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2017, at 1 p.m. in the Paciorek Funeral Home, 13 Hoosac St. Adams. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery, Adams.
