Theresa B. Dube, 88

CLARKSBURG, Mass. — Theresa Bertha (Coutu) Dube, 88, of Clarksburg, Mass., died Sunday, June 4, 2017, at her home.

She was born in North Adams, Mass., on June 5, 1928, daughter of Joseph Alfred and Bertha (Lussier) Coutu. She attended local schools and graduated from Drury High School with the class of 1947.

Theresa was last employed by Aramark Food Services at MCLA for about twenty years until her retirement.

She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church.  Theresa enjoyed playing the lottery, especially scratch tickets and also enjoyed crocheting.

She was the widow of John Paul "Jack" Dube, who died on February 14, 1995.  They were married on December 26, 1953.

Survivors include three daughters, Madeline Burdick and her husband Ron of Adams, Michelle Crockwell and her husband Keith of North Adams, and Nancy Sacco and her partner Kevin Hanlon, who was Theresa's "little helper" and with whom she lived in Clarksburg; four grandchildren, Shawn Burdick and his wife Bridget of West Roxbury, Mass., Justin Burdick of Pittsfield, Christopher Crockwell of Readsboro, Vt., and Shaunna Heibeck and her husband Jason of Newtown, Conn.; five great-grandchildren, including Jaslyne, Ciara, Gianna, Brooke and Sydney; and nieces and nephews.

One brother and one sister are deceased, including Rita Mario and Gerald Coutu.

Funeral notice: A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Theresa Dube will be celebrated Thursday, June 8, 2017, at 11 a.m. at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery.

Calling hours are Wednesday, June 7, 2017, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams, Mass. Theresa's family is thankful for the care they received under Hospice, so therefore in lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested for HospiceCare in the Berkshires in care of the funeral home.
