HOUSATONIC, Mass. — A.J. Cary Schlesinger, 27, of North Plain Road, Housatonic, Mass., died August 1, 2017, at Berkshire Medical Center. 

He was born on September 3, 1989, in Albany, N.Y. He spent most of his life in Williamstown, Mass., where he attended Williamstown Public Schools and received a Certificate of Attendance from Mt. Greylock Regional High School.

He was a prolific painter and enjoyed helping his parents with house and yard work. He liked people and conversation, especially when he could tease someone.

Survivors include his parents, Charles T. and Jacquelyn J. Schlesinger; two sisters, Kathleen Freuden and Suzanne Baker; three brothers, Daniel Schlesinger, Peter Schlesinger and Keith DeFinis; nephews Michael Freuden, Damon DeFinis and Trent Schlesinger; and niece Sylvia Schlesinger.

Funeral notice: A memorial service for AJ will be held on Thursda, August 17, 2017, from 4-7 p.m. at the UCP of North Adams, 420 Curran Highway, North Adams, Mass.
