Albert Theriault Jr., 78

BECKET, Mass. — Albert E. Theriault Jr. of Becket, died Friday, August 11, 2017, at his home.
He was born in Fall River, Mass., on October 3, 1939, the son of Blanche and Albert Zlanski Theriault and attended school in York, Maine.
He was an auto mechanic since the age of 16, loved cars and trucks, especially his Toyota truck. He was a member for many years with the York Beach Fire Dept. and worked at the Organic Nursery (family owned) in York.
He loved the beach and met his wife, the former Diane Broga, at York Beach; they were married on October 20, 1962. He worked for Lipton Oil in Pittsfield for 13 years as a Diesel Mechanic and Whitakers for one year and for the Berkshire Gas Co. He was last employed at Pioneers Dairy for seven years until retiring in 2000. He was Chief of Police in Becket from 1972 until 1976.
Besides his wife at home, he leaves one son, Albert Theriault III and his wife, Tammy Theriault, of New Hampshire; one daughter, Jeanine Theriault Ackles and her husband, Andrew Ackles, of Maynard, Mass.; two grandchildren, Albert IV and Caleb Theriault; and eight siblings.
Funeral notice: A Graveside Service will be held Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2017, at the North Becket Cemetery at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Kevin Smail, officiating. A reception will be held at the Becket Federated Church immediately following. Please feel free to come and celebrate the life of Albert Theriault.
