WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — Mary Gerarda (Maciora) Jacobs, 67, a 43-year resident of Berkshire County, Massachusetts, passed away Saturday, August 26, 2017, at Williamstown Commons in Williamstown, Mass.

She was born in Troy, N.Y., on January 4, 1950, a daughter of Mary Agnes Maciora and the late Joseph George Maciora. In 1967, Mary graduated from High School in Cheshire, Conn., and later attended Berkshire Community College. She was employed at various department stores in Connecticut and New York and was last employed at the former Bradlees in Pittsfield.

Mary moved to Pittsfield with her family on August 16, 1974, and was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church. She loved animals and butterflies and enjoyed knitting, drawing, painting, cooking (especially breakfast), traveling to Montreal and Ottawa, Canada, and Washington,D.C., and was a fan of Elvis Presley.

Besides her mother, other survivors include her daughter, Susan Marie Jacobs; her brother, Joseph G.V. Maciora of Pittsfield; several cousins; and her aunt Helen J. Mik of California.

Funeral notice: Services for Mary Gerarda (Maciora) Jacobs will take place Friday, September 1, 2017, at 12:30 p.m. from the Flynn & Dagnoli-Bencivenga Funeral Home, 5 Elm St., Pittsfield, MA 01201. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. at St. Joseph's Church, 414 North St., Pittsfield with the Rev. Monsignor Michael A. Shershanovich, Pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in the family plot at St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling Hours at the funeral home will be Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
