HOOSICK FALLS, N.Y. — Claire Mary Dubois, 83, of Hoosick Falls, N.Y., died Saturday, September 2, 2017, at her home. 

She was born in Burlington, Vt., on April 25, 1934. She was the daughter of Lena (Benoit) Dubois Chrzanowski. She attended BFAIR’s day program before retiring and spending her days at home. 

Claire found great pleasure in spending many long weekends at Lake Champlain enjoying the water and being with those closest to her. She always enjoyed her morning cup of coffee and spending time with her caregivers and their extended family. 

She is survived by her caregivers, William and Mabel Bryant; her guardians, Lawrence and Catherine Gates; her close friend Richard Lopardo; her two sisters, Marlene Olds and Sandra Ahola of North Adams; as well as several nieces and nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews. 

Funeral notice: The funeral for Claire Dubois will be Friday, September 15, 2017, at 1 p.m. at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams, Mass. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery. A calling hour will be held on Friday from noon until the service.
