ADAMS, Mass. — James “Uncle James” Edward McKeon, 51, of Howland Avenue, Adams, died on September 18, 2017, at Albany Medical Center. 

He was born in North Adams on November 5, 1965, a son of the late John E. & Dorothy M. (Kenyon) McKeon. He attended McCann High School and later became a Chef throughout the United States of America.

He was the widower of Laura (Dewitt) McKeon. He leaves his daughters, Kasey Benton and Katie Warner; grandsons Jacob, 7, and Noah, 4; three sisters, Doreen McKeon, Jacqueline McKeon and Becky McKeon; and many nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Funeral notice: A celebration for Jimmy's life, rather than mourning of his death, will take place on Wednesday, September 27, 2017, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Holiday Inn in North Adams, Mass. If at all possible the family has requested that everyone who attends wear blue jeans and a black concert or Harley shirt. Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals is in charge of the arrangements.
