Irene M. Drobiak, 91

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Irene Marie Drobiak, 91, of North Adams, Mass., died Sunday September 24, 2017, at her home.
She was born in North Adams, Mass., on August 1, 1926 daughter of John and Mary (Banas) Drobiak. She attended North Adams schools.
Irene was employed at Sprague Electric Co. for many years until her retirement. She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church.
Irene enjoyed reading, knitting, sewing and cooking. Irene and her family are very thankful for the resources and assistance that were provided by her neighbors, family members, friends, Deacon George Galli and the St. Elizabeth Church community.
She was the last of her immediate family and is survived by nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She was predeceased by her seven brothers and sisters, including Mary Spagnolo, Millie Oparowski, Nellie Danforth, Rudolph Drobiak, Frederick Drobiak, Theodore Banas and William Drobiak.
Funeral notice: A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Irene Drobiak will be celebrated Saturday, September 30, 2017, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery.
A calling hour will be held Saturday morning from 9 to 10 a.m. at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapel, 74 Marshall St. North Adams, Mass. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church in care of the funeral home.
