BENNINGTON, Vt. — Aldo Massari, 78, of Bennington, Vt., died Wednesday January 24, 2018, at his home.

He was born in Bennington, Vt., on October 4, 1939, son of Aldo and Agnes (Viesi) Massari.  Aldo lived in Readsboro, Vt., for many years, where he had many aunts, uncles and cousins.  Following the deaths of his mom and dad, various cousins of the Boccagni family took loving care and provided guardianship throughout his life.

Many family meals were shared with members of the Cimonetti family in Clarksburg, Mass. In his later life, his home was at Washington Elms, an assisted living facility in Bennington, whose personnel took excellent care of Aldo under the guardianship of his cousins, Raymond, Marilyn and Lonny Cimonetti.

Funeral notice: A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Aldo will be celebrated Tuesday, January 30, 2018, at 11 a.m. at St. Joachim's Church in Readsboro, Vt. Burial will be in the spring in Village Cemetery in Readsboro.

Calling hours at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapel, 74 Marshall St., North Adams, Mass., are Tuesday morning from 9 to 10:30. Donations may be made to the Parkinson's Disease Foundation in care of the funeral home.
