Victor J. Breen, 76

WASHINGTON, Mass. — Victor Joseph Breen, 76, of Washington, Mass., died Sunday, March 11, 2018, at Albany Medical Center.
He was born in Pittsfield on January 9, 1942, the son of Joseph V. and Johanna VanBlerck Breen, and following high school and college, served in the US Army in the early 1960s. Mr. Breen had been the Police Chief for the Town of Washington from 2001 until present.
He was a communicant of St. Ann’s Church in Lenox and for several years was Scout Master for Troop 776 in North Reading, Mass.
Mr. Breen and his wife, Kathleen Reu Breen, were married in Waltham, Mass., October 13, 1979.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his son, Joseph of New York City; daughter Johanna of Pittsfield; and brothers George and John.
He was predeceased by his sister Nancy.
Funeral notice: The funeral of Mr. Victor J. Breen of Washington will be Friday, March 16, 2018, at 11:30 a.m. from the Roche Funeral Home followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at noon at St. Ann’s Church. Burial with Military Honors will follow in St. Ann’s Cemetery.
