Greg Carmel Jr.

ADAMS, Mass. — Our beloved Greg Carmel Junior went home to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on April 25, 2018. 

Greg laughed often, smiled always, lived life to the fullest, loved deeply, had deep faith that he shared openly and loved deeply. Greg lived life to the fullest!! He achieved the distinction of Eagle Scout and was very involved with Troop 4. He was an avid hiker, kayaker, bowler, camper, loved to fish, a huge New York Yankees fan and so much more.

Greg loved his family immensely and is survived by his wife Diana Carmel; parents Greg and Carol Carmel; children Stephen, Emily and Hannah Carmel; step hildren Samantha Haines and Krystyna Cochrane; siblings Brian and Chrissy Carmel; and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. 

Greg loved his church Calvary of the Berkshires. The love he had for his pastors and their family and his church family was shown through him everyday. 

Funeral notice: A celebration of life will be held on May 19, 2018, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Calvary Church of the Berkshires on Holmes Road in Pittsfield. 

Donations of flowers can be sent to the church and donations may also be made out to Popcares which supports those who have cancer, in care of the Trottier Pringle Funeral Home, 6 Summer St., Adams, MA 01220, who is in charge of arrangements.

I didn't know Greg, but reading his obit, and the comments, lends me to realize how many angels are among us hear on earth. He sounds like a wonderful person who helped and shared lifes' many ups and downs! He has earned his wings! God Bless and take care. My sympathies and prayers to Greg, his family and friends. For what is life if everyone, or anyone can't take a moment to praise someone special! Blessings! Hillcrest as well.

I am sad to read of Greg's passing. He was a supervisor of mine at Hillcrest long ago, and I learned alot about working with kids from him. Good man and a role model to me (and Yankees fan on top of it!). Rest in peace and condolences to his family and friends.
