David W. Ansley, 63

CLARKSBURG, Mass. — Mr. David W. Ansley, 63, of Clarksburg died Saturday, April 28, 2018, at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, Mass.
He was born in Augusta, Georgia, on July 22, 1954, son of Marvin Ansley and the late Ethel (Hardy) Ansley, and attended schools there. He lived in this area for the past 17 years.
David worked as a soil erosion inspector for the Richmond County (GA) Engineering Department. After coming to Massachusetts, he worked for Unistress Corp. for several years, and then for Eagle Lumber Co. in Stamford, Vt., until retiring five years ago.
He had been a member of the Northern Berkshire Amateur Radio Club. David was a friendly man with a great sense of humor. He was a joy to all who knew him and will be sorely missed.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, the former Marlene B. Evatt, whom he married on November 27, 1975; his son, Brandon Ansley of North Adams; his father, Marvin Ansley of South Carolina; a brother, Bill Ansley of North Carolina; as well as several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
He was predeceased by his mother, Ethel Ansley; and by a brother, Brian Ansley.
