ADAMS, Mass. — Janet A. (Ostrander) Langlois, 88, of Adams, Mass., died Wednesday, August 15, 2018, at Williamstown Commons in Williamstown.

She was born in Pittsfield on May 10, 1930, daughter of Elmer G. and Kathleen (Hosker) Ostrander. Mrs. Langlois was employed for years at Waverly Fabrics in Adams as a machine operator and supervisor.

She married Joseph Langlois of Pittsfield, who passed away in 2000.

Janet loved the outdoors, gardening and sewing, but her passion was cooking for her family.

She is survived by her four children, Jon Langlois of Ellijay, Ga., Joel Langlois and his wife Terri of Hendersonville, N.C., Janette Langlois and her partner Susan Allen of Adams, and Joice Sheffer of Phenix City, Ala.; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral notice: Private services will be at the discretion of the family. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Janet’s name to Williamstown Commons, Unit 3, Evergreen, 25 Adams Road, Williamstown, MA 01267.
