NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Karen Dorene (Martin) Wentz, 59, of North Adams, Mass., died Friday August 31, 2018, at Berkshire Medical Center.

She was born in North Adams, Mass., on September 8, 1958, daughter of Francis and Alma (LaBonte) Martin. She attended local schools, including the Drury High School.

Karen was primarily a homemaker and was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother to her family. She was a member of the Mount Greylock Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Edward Joseph Wentz III, whom she married in 1976; two daughters, Rebecca Twining and Katherine Wentz; one son, Jeremy Wentz; 10 grandchildren; six sisters, Deborah Briscoe, Brenda Moore, Shirley Therrien, Judith Martin, Sandra Dooley and Susan Washburn; seven brothers, James Martin, John Martin, Raymond Martin, Richard Martin, Robert Martin, Francis Martin and Thomas Martin; and many nieces and nephews.  

She was predeceased by one brother and two sisters: Mary, Nancy and Eugene.

Funeral notice: A private funeral for Karen Wentz will be held at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapel, 74 Marshall St. North Adams, Mass. Burial will be private. There are no calling hours.  Donations may be made in her memory to the funeral home.
