Silvio A. DiSanti Jr., 55

CHESHIRE, Mass. — Silvio Andrew DiSanti Jr., 55, of Cheshire, Mass., died on Tuesday, September 4, 2018, at BMC Pittsfield. 

He was born in North Adams, Mass., on August 5, 1963 a son of Silvio A. and Rita (Catrambone) DiSanti. Silvio attended local schools in North Adams, graduating from McCann Technical High School, where he was a football player. He went to work as a plumber for several companies in the area, and maintained his boiler license. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.

He was a wonderful cook and loved dogs. Silvio was a communicant of St. Anthony of Padua Church in North Adams. He enjoyed skiing at Dutch Hill and was an avid Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots fan.

Survivors include his sisters, Diane Arabia, Evelyn DiSanti and Dolores Giroux; brothers Anthony; and Andrew DiSanti; nieces and nephews; as well as longtime friend Lindsay Chittenden. 

He was predeceased by his sister Mary Ann Tenczar.

Funeral notice: A Liturgy of Christian Burial to celebrate the life of Silvio DiSanti Jr. will be held on Monday, September 10, 2018, at 11 a.m. at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church in North Adams, Mass. Burial with military honors will follow in Southview Cemetery. 

Calling hours will be held on Monday morning from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapel, 74 Marshall St., North Adams, MA 01247. Donations in his memory can be made to Bluebird Farm in care of the funeral home.
