CLARKSBURG, Mass. — Marie Louise (Chesbro) Sherman-Hibbard of Clarksburg, Mass., died on Friday, September 7, 2018, at Berkshire Medical Center.

She was born in North Adams on November 17, 1932, a daughter of Harry & Isabel (Savage) Chesbro. She attended Drury High School and then went onto McCann Hair Dressing School. She was self-employed as a hair dresser in the area for many years and was last employed at Sprague Electric Co.

Marie was a devoted mother and grandmother and loved going to tag sales.

Marie was predeceased by her first husband, Forrest F. Sherman, who died on April 30, 1987, and her second husband, Richard Hibbard, who died on May 1, 2003.

Marie leaves her daughter, Donna M. Lemaire of Clarksburg; her sons, Forrest P “Bud” Sherman and his wife Kathleen of Clarksburg and Bruce C. Sherman and his wife Wendy of North Adams; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Carlyle Chesbro and Howard Chesbro, both of Clarksburg; and a sister, Lois Horton of Pennsylvania.

Marie was predeceased by a grandson, Nathan Sherman; and a brother, Harry Chesbro.

Funeral notice: A funeral to celebrate the life of Marie will be held on Wednesday, September 12, 2018, at 1 p.m. at the Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapel, 521 West Main St., North Adams, MA 01247. Burial will follow in Clarksburg Cemetery.

Calling hours will be Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Pop Cares through the funeral home.
