NEW ASHFORD, Mass. — Leisa Anne Raimer-Nomura, 54, of New Ashford, Mass., died Sunday, September 23, 2018, at UMass Memorial Medical Center. 

She was born on July 18, 1964, in Groton, Mass., a daughter of Mark Francis and Leslie Ann (Mazzuchi) Raimer. Leisa attended Pine Cobble School and Drury High School, graduating from high school in Carmel, Ind. She studied at International Fine Arts School in Miami, Fla., and received a bachelor’s degree from Parsons School of Design in New York City. 

Leisa worked as a designer and restored antique wedding gowns for Opal White in NYC and restored antique lace for the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Leisa was a communicant of St. Anthony’s Church in New York. She was an award-winning amateur photographer and also enjoyed skiing, golfing, scuba diving and was a black belt in Karate. 

Besides her parents, Mark and Leslie Raimer, Leisa leaves a sister, Laurie Anne Booyse of Anchorage, Ala.; one niece and one nephew; her maternal grandmother, Natalie Mazzuchi of North Adams; and aunts, uncles and cousins. 

She was predeceased by a brother, Mark A. Raimer.
