NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Robert Joseph Sawtelle Sr., 55, died on Tuesday October 23, 2018, at his home.

He was born on September 3, 1963, in Pittsfield, Mass., a son of Phoebe Mary (Bradley) Sawtelle and the late Roy David Sawtelle. He attended schools in Dalton and Windsor, Mass., including Wahconah Regional High School. Robert was last employed by Roto Rooter, where he worked for 15 years. Before that, he worked for Hiland Turf and Tractor in Melbourne, FL.

Robert enjoyed spending time hunting and fishing, as well as playing UNO and Chinese checkers. He also enjoyed music, especially playing his drums.

Besides his mother, Phoebe (Bradley) Sawtelle of Missouri, he is survived by his wife, Denise Irene (Brunelle) Sawtelle, whom he married on December 21, 1990; three sons, Robert J. Sawtelle Jr. and twins George and Charles Sawtelle, all of North Adams, Mass.; four grandchildren, Angel Rose, Carter Alan, Waylon and Victoria; four brothers, Randy, David, Jeffrey and Larry; four sisters, Holly, Mary, Helen and Karen; as well as nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his brother Roy and his sister Deborah.
