Stanley Sworzen Jr., 75
ADAMS, Mass. — Stanley "Bunny" Sworzen Jr., 75, of Port St. Lucie, Fla., passed away on March 25, 2019, with his beloved wife at his side.
Born in Adams, he was the son of the late Stanley Sworzen Sr. and Carmela Sworzen.
Bunny graduated from the former Adams High School in 1962. Shortly after graduation, he enlisted in the Navy and after four years of service was honorably discharged. After 35 years of service with General Electric, he retired in 2001 and soon moved to Port St. Lucie.
He was a longtime member of both the Adams and Port St. Lucie Elks, American Legion and Masons. He enjoyed traveling, playing pool and life in general.
He leaves behind his wife of 40 years, the former Karen Mendel; two stepchildren, Jennifer McConnell of Port St. Lucie, Fla., and Brian McConnell (Jessica) of Southampton; and four grandchildren, Daniel Puerto, Jassenia Puerto, Ryan McConnell and Kaylee McConnell.
Funeral notice: Aycock Funeral Home, 1504 SE Floresta Drive, Port St. Lucie, Florida, is in charge of arrangements. His final journey will be burial at sea through the United States Navy Mortuary Affairs at a later date.
