Wendy Jeanne Licht

Wendy Jeanne Licht, 62 of Stamford, VT died on Monday, August 5, 2019 at Berkshire Medical Center, North Campus.

She was born on Waltham, MA on March 9, 1957 a daughter of Kenneth Bradley and Jean Eleanor (Peaslee) Licht. She attended local schools and graduated from Drury High School with the Class of 1975. She was employed at Green meadows in Clarksburg, MA working with autistic children and young adults under the BFAIR Program.

Wendy was young at heart. She loved music and playing guitar. In her younger years she sang in the choir at the First Baptist Church in North Adams. She continued her love of music playing in the band “Babe” with her brother and was the lead guitarist and vocalist in several other local bands. Wendy was also an accomplished stained glass artist.

Survivors include her sister, Judy Licht of Clarksburg, two brothers, her twin, Brad Licht of Ashley Falls, MA and Brian Licht of North Adams, her step mother Patricia Licht of North Adams and her partner, Deborah Tatro with whom she made her home. She also leaves nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

FUNERAL NOTICE: A memorial service to celebrate the life of Wendy Jeanne Licht will be held Monday August 12, 2019 at 11:30 AM at the First Baptist Church of North Adams. Burial will follow in the Clarksburg Cemetery. A calling hour will be at the church Monday morning from 10:30 until the time of the service. Memorial donations may be made to Stamford Volunteer Fire Dept. or the North Adams Ambulance Service in care of the funeral home. Wendy was one of the most fun loving people I had the honor of knowing. She always made me comfortable to live my life our way. I immediately think of Sunday morning pick up basketball games at the YMCA.

I will always remember Wendy as a super softball player. I played with her for a good many years. Hope there is a field in Heaven, perhaps we will play together again some day. RIP Condolences for the family.
