Randy Rahilly, 46

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. - Randy David Rahilly, 46, of North Adams died on May 20, 2020, at Berkshire Medical Center following an unexpected illness.

He was born on April 5, 1974, to Lauri Rahilly in Pittsfield, Mass. Randy was an avid carpenter, craftsman, and enjoyed wood working and excelled in his trade. He worked at the former H. Greenberg & Sons, Butler Wholesale and recently was store manager at Stanley Lumber in Adams, Mass.

He enjoyed fishing, camping and the outdoors. Most of his life was spent caring for his family and being involved with his children through their many sports. He coached T-ball and football and was a member of the North Adams Youth Football League. He played football and baseball as a youth. Randy felt most at home on the Bell family farm in Middlefield, Mass., with his grandparents in his younger years.

Randy had such an indomitable spirit that those around him were lucky to have known him. No one could crack jokes like Randy could. He kept us enthralled and laughing in the aisles. We will forever miss our spark of life.

His is survived by his mother, Lauri, of Adams; and his wife of 21 years, Corrie Rennell. He is also survived by his children, Shawn Rahilly (Alyssa), Austin Rahilly, Christopher Hilchey (Vanessa), Arianna Hilchey and Bella Hilchey as well as his loyal best friend "Rupee," his devoted golden retriever; grandchildren Athenna Rahilly, Emilyn Rahilly and Callum Hilchey; one brother, Darren (Jeane) Rahilly; father-in-law Howard “Buzz” Rennell; mother-in-law Carole Foist; and brothers-in-law Stephen Rennell and Aaron (Jordan) Rennell.

He was predeceased by his grandfather and grandmother, George Sr. and Geneva Bell.

Funeral notice: A Celebration of Randy’s Life will take place at a later date at the discretion of the family. Memorial Donations are suggested by the family to the Flynn & Dagnoli Funeral Home, 74 Marshall St. North Adams, MA to help defray the cost of the funeral.
