NORTH ADAMS, Mass. —  

Daniel W. Brooks, 55, of North Adams, died Wednesday afternoon, September 30, 2020, at Berkshire Medical Center. He was born in North Adams on June 30, 1965, a son of Mary L. (McLain) Brooks and the late Albert H. Brooks. He attended schools in Clarksburg and North Adams. Dan last worked as a machinist at the former Butkin Machine Co. in North Adams. He was a former member of the Clarksburg Volunteer Fire Company, enjoyed gardening, fishing, and history. He is survived by his mother, Mary L. Brooks of North Adams; a daughter, Juanita Wood and her husband, Daniel, of Hinsdale, MA; two sisters, Gail Demo and her husband, Sergio; and Patricia Brooks, both of North Adams; one brother, Richard Brooks and his wife, Donna, of Clarksburg; one half-brother, Mark Streeter of East Longmeadow, MA; three grandchildren, Deana, Ella and Brooks Wood; as well as several nieces and nephews.

A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, October 9th at 11:00 AM in St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church, North Adams. Burial will follow in Clarksburg Cemetery. Calling hours at the PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St. Adams, are Thursday from 5 to 7 PM. Due to current public health regulations, wearing of face masks and social distancing will be mandatory at the funeral home, church and cemetery.
